It included a lot of history and color from the event. My ex would not contribute the pictures we had taken that are still in her possession, they were mostly crowd shots but lend a lot to the story, even if you had been there. The mods frowned upon alternate sources of two of the six set that I did not record this weekend, though they are available in their original DVD format elsewhere. If anyone can provide these missing sets, we would all be grateful, and if my original text ever surfaces I will make it available at that time. Suffice to say that even with all of Steve Wozniacs money, he couldn't have pulled this off without Bill Graham. His experience, connections and style made this event what it was. The West Coasts answer to Woodstock. The 110 degree heat, the rising dust from 300,000 feet stomping through the natural bowl between the rise of mountains that had been turned into the worlds largest ampitheatre, the nightmare of logistics bringing in 20 bands over three days along with an army of staff, support, security, venders, media and equipment couldn't keep this event from coming off with all the style and grace that was a "Bill Graham Presents.." event. From the impeccable sound system, the water hoses the plentiful "facilities" this festival owes more to Bill than anyone else, for without him it could never have happened. And now for the first time anywhere, the (almost) complete US Festival 1892. - BoldCaptain Fri 07th Sep, 2007 03:32 GMT -- This recording is a bit overdriven, but still remains one of the greatest recordings I've ever heard. This came with almost all the other sets from day one (that's why this is "disc 5"), I've split them for ease of archiving. - Carlo. length expanded size cdr WAVE probs filename 0:40.18 7098380 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t01.flac 3:48.61 40362716 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t02.flac 3:51.51 40868396 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t03.flac 4:23.47 46503788 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t04.flac 3:08.54 33290252 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t05.flac 3:20.09 35301212 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t06.flac 4:10.23 44154140 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t07.flac 4:50.12 51184268 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t08.flac 5:17.19 55963532 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t09.flac 5:13.48 55326140 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t10.flac 5:50.45 61845884 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t11.flac 5:37.38 59536220 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t12.flac 3:14.38 34311020 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t13.flac 4:49.34 51059612 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t14.flac 4:21.29 46108652 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t15.flac 5:31.22 58440188 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t16.flac 3:29.71 37034636 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t17.flac 7:08.70 75663884 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t18.flac 7:02.52 74563148 --- -- -xx Police1982-9-3d5t19.flac 85:50.66 908616068 B (totals for 19 files, 0.6884 overall compression ratio)
