Ah!Ah!Ah!
If you don't understand this joke,
read here
Ok, You didn't like this joke. Since you're so insisting,
read on about a few things about me, in rough chronological order,
if you're curious:
- I was active on USENET around the beginning of the 90s (I was
also a newsmaster, we ran the Italian news backbone for some years
at the CS Dept in Milan). In particular I was the 13th voter
for the creation of the
soc.culture.italian newsgroup, which was missing at the time.
It seemd also that I contributed to the group
FAQ. On the run for the s.c.i. group creation
I also voted for
soc.culture.mexican and
soc.culture.portuguese,
I really hadn't found any reason why those cultures shouldn't have
their groups, after suffering for my own.
- I set up the first public
Netrek
server in Italy (and second in Europe) in 1992. It was a regular
playfield in the European Netrek League.
Unfortunately the server is no longer active, but remains
listed in the Public Netrek Servers
listing by Andy McFadden (updated up to Jan 1, 1994), or in this
1993 Netrek Servers List from
rec.games.netrek.
For the completist, the first setup was done in February using a scam server,
shortly after updated to a bronco server, which I debugged to run on an
HP-UX, and then updated to a bronco final.
Then it was the vanilla server and also installed the Paradise and INL.
Finally around 1996 I changed job and the server died shortly after,
as the ENL.
Okay, okay, you really *really* want something serious! But I do not
have anything like that!
