Next To You Notes: I had a major mic disaster prior to the Manchester shows. The right-hand mic of the set I eventually used went faulty a while ago, so a new set were promptly ordered as replacements. Unfortunately, and unbelievably, they never arrived in time, so panic set in a week before the shows in order to source new mics. I obviously failed miserably to obtain a new set (the UK seems to be devoid of mic suppliers suitable for stealthing), so I had to record both shows using my single working mic. My seat was positioned centre stage, 19 rows back, perfectly triangulated with the main speaker stacks for a great recording, but wasted on just the single mic. I was lucky in that the people around me never sang a word all night and just enjoyed a tremendous show, so all you hear is the band performing and enthusiastic clapping between songs. I honestly believe that, given the above circumstances, I couldn't have nailed a better recording than I have done here. SoundForge was used for trimming the start/end of the WAV, normalisation, adding fade-in/out and copying the left channel to replace the missing right channel audio. No equalisation was performed at any stage.
