Tapers' Notes: The show was over-all excellent and must be a great entertainment especially for those who gave up waiting to see them play a long time ago and witnessed this sudden resurrection of the rock band Police. Recorded from somewhere in front of the mixing board, one and only sweet sound spot on the vast field of a baseball stadium with a two-tiered stand (50,000 audience capacity). With a little help from our fellow Police fan club members, we secured the seats for stealth recording mission. Thank you Tomo-chan!! The music that pumped out of the huge speaker stacks was deafening loud. Oh, boy I truly felt the huge sound waves hit me in the chest and vibrated my nose. Jerry complained that he heard ringing in his ears for a few days after the show. Thanks to our phantom power setting and the excellent sound system operated by marvelous sound stuff, we managed to well capture the clear high and thick bass sound. Luckily there was not a singer or a screamer or a clapper like a chimp in heat around us. Not much disturbing crowd noises on this recording. Vocal was very clear but bass was booming with the guitar mixed low. So we had to ask the Naniwas to enhance mid frequencies for a better balance, and they did a great job. The re-mastered version has more edges and in-your-face sound, which I am sure you will like. Play it loud and enjoy it. Tom Sound Editors Notes: Virtually we did nothing this time, just three clicks on the computer; EQ, Normalize, Resample. The sound of original recording is too good to be true. This is one of the best audience recordings Tom & Jerry ever given us. The low end is quite note-worthy. Remarkably Sting's bass and Stewart bass drums are not just captured well but also quite distinguishable in details. We carefully boosted the mid to high frequency a little as requested by taper. We applied the minimum EQ. The last thing we need is overkill it like some of JP bootleggers does. Blast the speakers and enjoy it. Naniwa A Mickey' Notes: If you successfully complete downloading it, let you wife and kids go shopping, put the cat out and lock the door, unplug the phone, grab a beer and a bag of chips, draw the curtain and put out the light, turn on the stereo (or PC) and put a set of (good) headphone on. Get yourself ready for the sound blast and start the tape and close your eyesc. Mmmm??Whata ?.Oh don't forget to CRANK THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP!!!! because it is meant to do so to maximize your listening pleasure?.. well I hate to say you this but if you listen to this loud on the headphone for more than two hours a day, you will suffer from hearing fatigue in a few days. Watch out !!!! Tapers and their culprits made me write this while they enjoyed eating and drinking. Don't take anything seriously and enjoy the show. Mickey - ** Fri 29th Feb, 2008 16:01 GMT -- This came with SBEs on all tracks. I've corrected them w/ shntool fix and reFLAC'd (level 8 w/ Verify).
